PIN–UP A VENEZIA: CELEBRATING THE 2018 VENICE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE
To celebrate the 16th International Venice Architecture Biennale, which opened to the public on May 26, PIN–UP teamed up with Adidas to take over the city’s storied Bauer Hotel for an all night bacchanal for architects and their admirers.
The night kicked off with a seated dinner on the Bauer’s famed terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. The 70 guests, who were treated to special PIN–UP scarf made in collaboration with Adidas Originals, indulged in prosecco by Sanfeletto DOCG and a menu of cuttlefish salad, sea bass, and cappuccino ice cream (though not all at once). Close to midnight, la festa moved to the hotel’s nightclub B-Bar, where DJ Honey Dijon made partygoers tear up the dance floor well into the wee hours.
Spotted among the party revelers were Kunlé Adeyemi, Khalid Al Gharaballi, Aziz Alqatami, Marcelo Alcaide, Iwan Baan, Elise By Olsen, Sam Chermayeff, Emanuel Christ, Luca Cipelletti, Beatriz Colomina, Maria Cristina Didero, Liz Diller, Eva Franch i Gilabert, Beatrice Galilee, Joseph Grima, Maja Hoffmann, Larissa Hofmann, Stefan Högelmaier, Florian Idenburg, Bjarke Ingels, Dozie Kanu, Massimiliano Locatelli, Jürgen Mayer H., Johanna Meyer Grohbrügge, Rasmus Myrup, Lorcan O’Neill, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Honey "Dijon" Redmond, Octave Perrault, Ricardo Scofidio, Shohei Shigamatsu, Martino Stierli, Emilia Terragni, Sofia von Ellrichshausen, and Francesco Vezzoli, to name but a few.
